HI! I'm Tiffany, and I AM Relax Bodyworks.
I'm the voice on the voicemail, I'm the responder to emails, the poster to social media, the cleaner of the bathroom, and the provider of All of the services.
I grew up in the Salon & Spa industry working for my parents, you can pretty much thank them for helping to bring the privacy suite salon model to DFW. You can also thank them for the 17 years I spent cleaning, doing laundry, answering phones, and practicing general customer service (yes, that does in fact mean a literal child was occasionally left in charge). I can hear you now, "Wait, you worked for your parents for 17 years, and you've been a Massage Therapist for 17 years, and none of those years overlapped?! That's more than 30 years, you can't be That old!". Oh but I am, I have really good genes. But enough about me as a person, although I Am fascinating, full of random but useless, yet interesting facts (Thanks to an ADHD sponge brain), and can talk about a hyperfixation for hours on end, but that's not why you're really here.On to the boringness of business, but I'm not going to throw a bunch of bodywork modality names at you, because God love you, most people wouldn't actually know what 90% of them even are, which is why the majority of my requests for, "Deep Tissue" require a complete re-eduation on the distinction between deep Pressure and deep Tissue work. This is why almost all of my bodywork sessions are classified as "Custom", this allows me the opportunuty to incorporate elements from more than the half dozen modalities I've been lucky enough to learn over the course of my career, so that at the end of your session it'll hopefully leave you a little "massage drunk", as you get a rush of endorphins, and your system is flooded with oxytocin, serotonin, and dopamine.
Over my many years in practice, I've had a Variety of experiences (good and bad), ranging from a legitimate Eastern European Romany Gypsy trying to buy me, seeing a Lot of genitalia that I did Not ask, nor Wanted to see (still don't), to being rushed across a small Scottish village to treat a bride's raging migraine the night before her wedding, and being lucky enough to work backstage at Dozens of local concerts; all in addition to having the honor of facilitating Thousands of bodywork sessions to help clients address not only their muscle pain and discomforts, but also the physical manifestations of their mental and emotional disorders, which kinda happens to be my jam, my Passion, and something I intimately understand, seeing as how I've lived with a few myself for over 2 decades.
I always have, and always will take the business of Bodywork seriously, but I try not to always take Myself too seriously, often laughing during sessions (because some of y'all really Are pretty funny), enjoying weird and wonderful exhibits and experiences, concerts, and travel when I get the chance; but no matter what, at the end of the day, my heart and mind always come back to this amazing career that you all have allowed me to have.
